Elective: Network Literacy

Mentor: Liubov Tupikina

The course was structured around the topic of network literacy and its applications in urbanism and architecture. We studied networks of different cities and of different topics and their effect on urbanism and architecture i.e. pollution, transport, green spaces, mobility, city evolution, etc. My work focused on the existing and emerging transport routes of Mumbai.

Reflections:

This course also allowed us to explore different softwares and platforms such as Kepler and GitHub. 
Lastly, the students had to create a network from this dataset where the students used GIF or photoshop to create the network and complete the data science project.

The project enabled us to look at architecture and urbanism through spatial nuances adding a detailed layer of analysis to the space.
